WICKENBY TURKEY CURRY FLY IN 2016 (NORTHERN AVIATORS)
I missed my passing out parade as I did my basic training in the North Staffods in 1958 and on the passing out day we were on the ranges in the morning and I was called to the orderly room to be told I was being transferred to REME that day so I packed my kit and caught a train to Blandford to serve for 15 years in the REME.
Minded day 1978 , Depot Shrewsbury! Cede Nullis Great memories
Still remember passing out! Minded day 1979
22years in the 2RRF took my beret and hackle to Kharkiv never got the chance to say hi from padderbourne to Russians. sorted now . Good on you drums 👍
God bless those veterans
😢xx xx
🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Why have they got bloody tampons on their headress rrf😂
seriously the riles marching is shocking and are out of step
Light drill is elite.
For Recruits on a Passing-out Parade, the standard of drill from the Rifles was utterly shambolic. If, in the modern Army, only limited time can be committed to mastering drill, then the faster, more complex drill of the Rifles needs to be dropped. In the modern era, it never made sense to have two types of drill in the Army, anyway. It's time for regimental history to move on.
My second name is Limpitlaw, spelling changed along the way somehow. Iv'e been to Lempitlaw but never knew there was a landing strip.
hello chesterflyer, I'm admin of the modelkitindo channel, I ask permission to hanging this video on my channel as a teaser, and I will enclose your channel name on the video and link in description ... thank you
I SALUTE YOU WITH HONOUR & RESPECT.
Mum absolutely loves this video. She suffers with dementia but starts marching as soon as she hears it.
Bless her, so glad she enjoys it xx
Excellent from a veteran fusilier Havrylak
pocket shit state on that rupert!😅🤣
As always rifles out of step
interesting Yugoslav coin it was much better aircraft for Yugoslav tactics of partisan warfare in the even a war with the USSR.
Excuse me asking, but what are your guy's headress called? It's not the same as a guards bearskin, just curious. Ex 17th/21st Lancer. Good drum Corps by the way.
It's a sealskin
@@chesterflyer Thanks for answering. I didn't know there was such a thing. Where did that tradition come from? Our headress is called a Chapka which is simply Polish for hat, but they were the first to wear the square topped cap. The plumes for OR's is horse hair. Officers have swan feathers. Just thought I'd share some info.
Sealskins appeared in the 1880s I think I have no idea why they adopted them but that full dress has survived in the regiment to see to the present day.
@@chesterflyer Be thankful your regiment survived. Mine was ammalgamated, then the resultant regiment was ammalgamated. Bloody tories.
As a US Army vet, very impressed. Everyone looks sharp and moves perfectly. Wishing all of these men and women the best in their careers.
I was lucky enough to have a good friend who invited me to his passing out parade. He passed out as an officer. It made me feel very humble and proud in equal measure. These men and woman are fine people.
That's my granddad, Dick Taylor. He was a lovely man with a wicked sense of humour. At The Trafalgar Bay pub in York, there once was a wooden spoon hung over the bar in his honour - an award for being "The Biggest Stirrer"! We'd often play Scrabble together, and he would place down those awkward two-letter words only known to canny players with an expression of quiet mirth. He liked watching ships at the seaside, big band music, and kippers for breakfast.
Proud to have served 2RRF God bless the regiment 👏🇬🇧
Well done lads. Did mine yo there 37 years ago. Like yesterday.
I wish they would loose the skirts - they just look too girlie on a soldier!!
Go say that to a scotsman, see how long you surivive
Psst, I don't know what you were watching, but I noticed a cross-dresser!
Loads of Trifles out of step.
inpaindaily
The tart karen statistically produce because criminal covalently discover behind a lying radio. outstanding, hysterical purpose
Does anyone know if there's any females that passed out yet as guardsman? Joining up waiting for my assessment in two weeks time then if I pass I'll get my start date.
Not sure about guards but we have two ladies in the Fusiliers
8:50 What is the title of the music played here?
The world might go to war again. May the British army be expanded, and the 2nd battalion is raised.
To the four police on horseback “ GET THE SHAGGING STEP! Reptiles! “ lolololololololol. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
First time to see this and sad to say the Rifles were terrible. Bugler did too many poor notes. Troops out of step, the double was a disgrace, even the present arms was messed up by a couple in the front tank. Poor show down to the permanent staff.
Seems the light infantry can't even keep in step-why bother if you can't do it properly?
Your telling me they played a Star Wars song during the inspection?!? Thats awesome. Did someone make a request or?
You think all black people criminals
Thankyou for that highly intelligent comment! WE HAVE LOADS OF BLACK SOLDIERS SERVING IN THE FUSILIERS!
ONCE A FUSILIER ALWAYWS A FUSILIER 3 RRF

Someone needs to tell the Father how to pronounce “Lieutenant” Fantastic video though! Wonderful turnout :))

Same bloody square.... did mine in 74. My RGJ brother did his at Moore Barracks.
I did serious 1st of my course at Helles............ twice................ no parade for but it was a bit mickey mouse outfit.
Respect👍
I passed out in 1986 at the guards depot Pirbright and it was a proud day in my life.
my dad was in the fusiliers in the korean war he would have been there if he was still here, he was a proud soldier and a great dad.
why do the ones in black hats march differently? what regiment?
Rifles..traditionally had a quicker quick march and carried rifles at trail (when normal line infantry shouldered muskets)
Such a big parade ground - so few soldiers
Yes it is I marched around it in 1986
The Rifle had real problems keeping in step it would seem. But they improved in double time.
